Millsaps Golf Duo Named to SAA All-Sportsmanship Team

CANTON, Ga. — Millsaps College’s senior golfer Steven Noack and sophomore golfer Abigail Cerwick were named to the 2025-26 Southern Athletic Association All-Sportsmanship Team, the school announced Monday. The selections were made by Millsaps golf coaches following the SAA Championships on Sunday.

These student-athletes demonstrated leadership and sportsmanship during the conference tournament, according to the school. They displayed respect, fairness, and a positive spirit while competing against other teams.

Noack, an accounting major from Austin, Texas, finished 35th at the SAA Championships with a total score of 154. He tied for ninth place out of 37 golfers and posted personal bests for two rounds and 72 holes during the tournament at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tennessee, on April 26. Noack has been recognized academically as well, earning a spot on the Dean’s List three times and being named to the CSC Academic All-District® Men’s At-Large Team and the SAA Academic Honor Roll once.

Cerwick, a business and studio arts major from Helena, Alabama, recently achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester and was named to the President’s List twice. She is involved in campus organizations including Chi Omega, Wellspring, and Premier Scholar. Cerwick shot her best three-round total of 36 over par at the conference championships, finishing after a final round of 76. Her score was six strokes better than her freshman year at last season’s SAA tournament.
