Millsaps College Opens 2026-27 Student Worker and Internship Positions in Athletics

The Millsaps College Athletics Department is now accepting applications for student worker positions and internships for the 2026-27 academic year, according to a college release. The opportunities span various departments, including Sports Information, Sports Medicine, Intramurals & Recreation, and game-day staffing.

Students can apply online through Major Careers. Those interested in for-credit internships can email gomajors1890@gmail.com. Students are permitted to hold multiple positions both within athletics and across campus, the college said.

The Sports Information Department is hiring workers for roles such as photographers, game-day statisticians, play-by-play announcers, broadcast producers, camera operators, music operators, scoreboard operators, ball retrievers, videographers, and office staff. Additionally, six internships are available each semester, covering areas like creative writing, graphic design, social media, sports marketing, video production, and sports information. Interns can earn up to four credits and may fulfill the college’s Major Experience requirement under the supervision of the Sports Information director.

In the Sports Medicine department, opportunities include athletic training student worker positions and internships, which also can satisfy the Major Experience requirement. Inside the Hall Activities Center, students can apply for front desk manager and intramural worker roles. Other game-day positions include staff for athletics events and concessions.

Individual teams are also posting jobs to support their programs. The college’s Center for Career Education encourages students to explore these opportunities, which foster career development and campus engagement. The center collaborates with the athletics department to connect students with internships and employment prospects. More information and application links are available on the college’s website and Major Careers platform.
