Reily Rogers, Dickson, Tennessee — Gonzalo De Minion, a freshman at Delta State University, is in the top 10 after the opening round of the Gulf South Conference Championships on Monday at Greystone Golf Course.
De Minion shot an even-par 72, recording three birdies, and is tied for ninth place. The Delta State men’s golf team stands in eighth place with a total score of 302 strokes, 14 over par.
Senior Ty Werynski is tied for 24th after a 75 (+3), which included a birdie on hole four. Ratchanon Aiemsumang is one stroke behind Werynski with a 76 (+4), after carding three birdies on the front nine. The team will continue play Tuesday for the second round of the tournament.
