Pontotoc gets run rule victory to advance in state baseball playoffs
The Pontotoc Warriors found themselves down 6 runs after one inning on Monday in their 4A north playoff series against New Albany.
No problem for the potent Pontotoc offense, though, as they put up 7 runs in the top of the second inning to take an 8-7 lead they would never relinquish.
The Warriors put in a power display that was punctuated by a 2-run Hayden Harris blast in a nine run 4th inning that sealed the 21-9 victory and the 2-0 series win.
Pontotoc moves on to face Kosciusko in the next round.
