Eagles unleash offensive explosion in opening night win over Tish County
The message sent by TCPS on Thursday night in their opening night win over Tishomingo County was loud and clear: the Eagle offense will be a problem all season for opposing defenses.
The 1A Eagles went all gas and no brakes in their 45-17 start of the season victory over the 4A Braves.
Junior quarterback Khi Holiday started the scoring off with a 1 yard plunge for a touchdown on his way to 407 total yards and six touchdowns while Noah Foster turned heads in his first career game with nearly 200 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.
Holiday to Foster is going to be a force to be reckoned with, as the first year wide receiver in his first career game went for nearly 200 yards and had this 60 yard highlight reel touchdown reception called back.
Holiday had touchdown runs of 1, 8 and 34 yards in the first half and hit Carter Smith for a 9 yard touchdown in the 4th quarter to go with the two he tossed to Foster.
To show off the full offensive repertoire, Grant Trussel added a 42-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring for TCPS.
The Eagles are in action next Friday against Oak Hill Academy while Tish County gets a trip from McNairy Central.
