HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Southern Miss women’s soccer hosts Jacksonville State on Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Marshall Bell Track & Field/Soccer Complex. The Golden Eagles are looking to capitalize on their recent home performances, following a 2-2 draw with Southeastern Louisiana last week, according to school officials.

Southern Miss earned a crucial point after trailing 2-1 and tying the match with a penalty kick from Ryan Smith in the 85th minute. Coach Danny Owens’ squad controlled much of the second half and created several scoring chances despite losing its previous road games.
