Ole Miss Soccer to Host South Alabama Thursday Night
Ole Miss Soccer will host South Alabama on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, marking the Rebels’ fourth home match of the season, according to university athletics sources.
The Rebels are 5-1-0 overall after a 2-0 victory over ULM. They have posted two wins at home this season, against Murray State and ULM, and have recorded four shutouts in six matches. Ole Miss has outscored opponents 9-4 and averages 1.5 goals per game. The team has outshot opponents 91-47, with a 37-15 advantage in shots on goal.
Teaghan Irvin leads Ole Miss with five points, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Seven players have scored this season, including Irvin, Becca Skinner, Ava Ghoreishi, Sarah Granno, Isabella Pontieri, Katie Ramsden, and Paxton Bock. In their last game, Anna Claire Jacobi earned her first collegiate win, making one save in the first half. Lauren Montgomery and Marieke Ten Brink also made their debut appearances against ULM.
