Ole Miss Soccer to Host ULM in Sunday Match at Oxford
Oxford, Miss. — Ole Miss Soccer is set to host Louisiana Monroe on Sunday at 2 p.m. in its third home match of the season, according to the university’s athletics department.
The Rebels enter the game with a 4-1-0 record after opening the season with four consecutive wins. Their only loss came Thursday night at the hands of No. 24 Memphis, 3-1. Teaghan Irvin scored her first collegiate goal in that game, which marked the first time Ole Miss lost this season.
Ole Miss has totaled 33 corner kicks and allowed 14 in five matches. Goalkeeper Taylor Prigge has played all 450 minutes, earning a 4-1-0 record with three shutouts. The team has outscored opponents 7-4 and outshot them 69-39, holding a 27-13 advantage in shots on goal. Seven players have scored this season, led by Irvin and Sarah Granno with three points each.
The team is under first-year head coach Todd Shulenberger, who joined Ole Miss after 11 seasons at Washington State. He led the Cougars to five NCAA tournaments, including a College Cup appearance in 2019. Shulenberger has coached 43 all-conference players and 10 drafted into professional leagues.
