Southern Miss Women’s Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

Southern Miss women’s golf coach Colton Cowan announced the team’s schedule for the 2026-27 season, highlighting opportunities to compete against top programs nationwide.

The season begins Sept. 8-9 at the Tulane Classic in New Orleans, hosted at TPC Louisiana. The team then travels to Fort Collins, Colorado, for the Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic on Sept. 21-22. This marks their return to the two-day event at Ptarmigan Golf Course, a tournament where senior Momoka Ando posted a record-breaking performance in the 2023-24 season.

Fall tournaments also include The Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, from Oct. 5-7, and the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, from Oct. 16-18. The Golden Eagles will host The Judson at Hattiesburg Country Club on Oct. 26-27, a tournament they have won consecutive years under Cowan, including a playoff victory over Tulane last season.

In the spring, the team’s schedule features the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Orlando from Feb. 1-3, followed by the Huntsville.Org Intercollegiate at RTJ Hampton Cove in Alabama on March 1-2. They will also compete in the Magnolia Collegiate at RTJ Magnolia Grove in Mobile, Alabama, March 15-16, and the ULM Invitational at Bayou DeSiard Country Club in Monroe, Louisiana, March 29-30.

The season concludes with the Sun Belt Championships, scheduled for April 19-22 at Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Alabama. The tournament begins with three days of stroke play, leading into a final day of four-team match play. The individual champion will be crowned on the final day of stroke play, according to the schedule.
