Southern Miss Pitcher Camden Clark Named to NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List

HATTIESBURG, Miss. — Camden Clark, a sophomore right-hander at the University of Southern Mississippi, has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s midseason watch list for the Stopper of the Year Award, the organization announced Wednesday.

Clark has appeared in 17 games this season, posting a 5-0 record with five saves in 26 2/3 innings. He holds a 1.69 earned run average and has struck out 37 batters while walking only four. Over his last 10 outings, Clark has not issued a walk across 18 1/3 innings and has recorded either a win or save in his first six appearances of the year.

The list features 61 relief pitchers from 21 conferences, with the Big Ten and Southeastern Conference each represented by eight players. The Big 12 has six players, the Atlantic Coast Conference five, and the American Athletic Conference and Sun Belt each have four. Several other leagues have multiple representatives, including the Atlantic Sun, Big West, Conference USA, Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference, Mid-American Conference, Ohio Valley Conference, and West Coast Conference.

The NCBWA will reveal the finalists June 3, and the award winner will be announced June 12 at the 2026 Men’s College World Series.
