Millsaps Tennis Players Malakie Smith, Sam Tuli Named to SAA All-Sportsmanship Teams
CANTON, Ga. — Millsaps College announced that tennis players Malakie Smith and Sam Tuli were named to the Southern Athletic Association All-Sportsmanship Teams following the 2026 season, according to the league office.
Smith, a sophomore double majoring in biology and studio arts, is a member of Chi Omega and the Christian Collective. She finished the season with a 5-10 singles record and a 6-8 doubles record. Smith plans to pursue a career in medical illustration after graduation and is part of the Fall 2025 Club 40.
Tuli, a senior from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, recently concluded his senior day. He finished the season with a 9-9 singles record and an 8-10 doubles record. Tuli is set to graduate with a degree in computer science, just weeks before the announcement of his recognition.
The SAA, founded in 2011, emphasizes good sportsmanship and fair play among all competitors. Millsaps College, based in Jackson, Mississippi, is a private liberal arts college established in 1890. The college is known for its academic excellence and values of inquiry, faith, and community engagement.
