SLIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Set for Greenville University

The 2026 SLIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship will take place over two days at Greenville University in Greenville, Illinois, beginning Friday. Most events are scheduled for Saturday, according to organizers.

Blackburn College’s Noah Daum aims to be the first Beaver in program history to medal at the outdoor championships. He currently leads the conference in discus and shot put and ranks fourth in the hammer throw, as stated by Blackburn’s coaching staff. Sophia Palmier, a jumper for Blackburn, is ranked third in pole vault and fourth in high jump. She seeks to become the first female Beaver to earn a medal at the outdoor meet.

Eureka College’s program emphasizes distance running. Coaches say Cole Glover and Bailey Webster are second and third in the men’s 1500 meters, with Webster also ranking third in the 5000 meters this spring. Eureka has secured one gold medal in program history, according to school officials.

Greenville University’s Ty Kellum broke the SLIAC record in the 100-meter dash this season. Keenan Powell set a conference record in triple jump that had stood for nearly a decade. Norah Atkins is favored in the 800 and 1500 meters, aiming for her first gold medal. Arielle Lawrence, a hammer thrower, hopes to continue Greenville’s success in that event, which has yielded seven golds since 2017, officials said.

Lyon College’s Brooklynn Collins leads the conference in women’s steeplechase and seeks her program’s second-ever gold medal. Other notable athletes include Samantha Love in high jump, Brianna Krantz in 400 meters, and Kasylu Malumbo in discus. Jakobe Alcorn, with one career medal, will compete in multiple events, including javelin, hurdles, and high jump, according to Lyon coaches.

Malachi Morgan from Mississippi University for Women is the top-ranked jumper in the conference, competing in high jump and long jump. Noel Kellum has a chance to medal in discus and javelin. Armoni King, a top sprinter for MUW, ranks second in both dash events. Arie’Onna McCollum and Ariella Jones are also medal contenders in throwing and long jump, respectively, officials said.

Principia College’s Amarachi Ejimadu aims for her first gold, holding a conference-best in the 100 meters and ranking third in the 200 meters. Hannah Myers, the defending high jump champion, also ranks first in triple jump. Zach Proctor, with conference-leading times in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters, seeks his first gold medal. Mark Fisher aims to defend his hammer title, according to Principia coaches.

Spalding University’s Chad Dahl is favored in the 400 meters. Tobias Rice posted the conference’s best steeplechase time. Lucy Jones ranks second in 100 hurdles and first in 400 hurdles this spring. Eryn Rataiczak, with the second-best pole vault mark in conference history last weekend, will compete for a medal. Caleb Stinson hopes to earn his second career medal in the 800 meters, officials said.

Webster University’s Mark Govero aims to top his own pole vault record and defend his title. Lucas LaRue, with two silver medals last year, will compete in hurdles. Cali Pavlisko is a medal hopeful in shot put and hammer throw. Aissata Kamara, the women’s top sprinter, ranks third in the 100 meters, according to Webster coaches.

Westminster College’s Levi Casey seeks a medal in pole vault after ranking second this spring. Lee Ivy III is the top thrower on the team, ranked fourth in shot put. The women’s team has several javelin throwers, including last year’s gold medalist Emma Braby. Riley Vogel will compete in the 5,000 meters and steeplechase, officials added.
