Ole Miss Softball’s Madi George Named to Softball America May Power Rankings

Ole Miss softball freshman Madi George has been recognized in Softball America’s May position power rankings, ranking as the No. 12 outfielder nationally, according to the publication.

George has climbed the rankings after a standout April, during which she hit .442 with 11 home runs, 25 RBIs, two doubles, and six walks, boosting her season totals to a .400 batting average, 21 home runs, and 56 RBIs, the most in Ole Miss history for a single season.

The reigning National Freshman of the Week across three publications, George has been a key contributor for the Rebels this season. She is currently ranked third in the nation among freshmen in home runs and RBIs.

Ole Miss is set to host No. 16 Mississippi State on Thursday at 6 p.m. CT in the first of three games, streaming on SEC Network Plus.
