Ole Miss Softball Ranked No. 16 in Nation for Transfer Class by D1Softball

The University of Mississippi softball team has been ranked the No. 16 transfer class in the nation by D1Softball, the organization announced Wednesday. The Rebels added four new transfers to their 2027 roster, including pitchers Lexie Hames and Hailey Lucas, outfielder Brie Howard, and infielder Jenna Sniffen.

Hames and Lucas bring over 140 innings of NCAA experience, with Hames having tournament experience. Howard, an all-ASUN slugger from Austin Peay, drove in 136 runs during her college career. Sniffen, a 2025 All-Big 12 infielder, joins as a junior and is known for her defensive skills.

These transfers join 11 incoming freshmen, who were ranked the No. 11 class nationally by D1Softball and No. 7 by Softball America. The combined recruiting class complements a roster featuring All-American Madi George, two-time All-SEC honoree Persy Llamas, and NFCA All-South Region selection Cassie Reasner.
