Northwest Mississippi Women’s Golf Qualifies for NJCAA DII National Tournament

The Northwest Mississippi Community College women’s golf team has qualified for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, scheduled to start May 12 at Ol’ Colony Golf Course in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The team finished the season ranked ninth in the final NJCAA poll.

This marks the second straight year that the Rangers have qualified a full team for the national tournament. Two of their regular starters are ranked in the top 25 nationally, according to coach Adam Payne.

“To make the national tournament two years in a row and to have made it both years we have had a program is huge,” Payne said. “The girls have worked so hard all season long and have improved so much. I couldn’t be happier for them. They have done an amazing job setting the program on the right path that will keep it competitive for years to come.”

Leading the team is Analeigh Little, who is ranked seventh nationally. She has averaged just over 77 strokes per round and has finished in the top 15 in all nine tournaments this season, including three runner-up finishes. Bella McNeil also is a top contender, with her best finish a third-place showing at the NEMCC Women’s Spring Invitational and five top-15 finishes in nine tournaments.

Northwest will also send Madison Baker and Zae’Ja Davis, both ranked among the top 100 nationally. Outside that group, Sarah Niblett and Addison Forbes are just outside the top 100. Baker, Davis, and Forbes are returning from the 2025 team that finished 15th in the national field after qualifying as the No. 16 team in the country.

Fans can follow the team’s progress through their website, nwccrangers.com, or on social media channels.
