Mississippi Valley State Releases 2026 Volleyball Schedule
Mississippi Valley State University has announced its 2026 volleyball schedule, which includes tournament action, non-conference games, and Southwestern Athletic Conference play, according to school officials.
The Delta Devils will open the season Aug. 28-29 at the Betty Austin Invitational hosted by Alabama A&M. Their first matches are set for Aug. 28, with a game against UMES at 11 a.m. and a matchup with Delaware State at 3 p.m. The team will wrap up the weekend Aug. 29 against South Carolina State at 11 a.m.
Non-conference play continues Sept. 4 at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, followed by the Bulldog Bash hosted by Louisiana Tech from Sept. 10-12. During that tournament, MVSU will face Northwestern State, Louisiana Tech, and Louisiana Monroe.
The team’s home opener is scheduled for Sept. 16 against Dillard at 6 p.m. MVSU begins conference play at home against Texas Southern on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. The team will also host Prairie View A&M, Jackson State, Florida A&M, Bethune-Cookman, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling State, Alabama State, and Alabama A&M during the SWAC schedule.
The regular season concludes with away matches at Florida A&M on Nov. 13 and Bethune-Cookman on Nov. 15. The SWAC Volleyball Championship Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 20-22 in Montgomery, Alabama, hosted by Alabama State.
