Mississippi State’s Kelley Jones Named to AP Preseason All-America Team

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football player Kelley Jones has been named to the 2026 preseason Associated Press All-America team. The announcement was made Tuesday.

Jones, a cornerback, appeared in 11 games during the 2025 season, with four starts and 29 tackles. He was named a second-team defensive back on the AP’s elite list of college football talent.

In addition to his AP recognition, Jones received honors from Pro Football Network, earning a spot on the second team of their All-America list. He is also on the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Preseason Watch List, which honors the top defensive player in college football, according to the Football Writers Association of America.
