Mississippi State Men’s Tennis Adds Two Italian Recruits

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State men’s tennis head coach Matt Roberts announced the signing of Luigi Valletta and Jacopo Borsoi on Thursday. Both players hail from Italy and will join the team this fall, according to a release from the university.

Valletta, from Ravenna, brings professional experience and has won an ITF doubles title at Brcko, where he faced former Bulldog Dusan Milanovic. He is ranked 1,311th in the ATP world rankings.

Borsoi, from Pontinia, has competed in various ITF tournaments across Europe. Both players are expected to bolster a program that has reached consecutive NCAA quarterfinals under Roberts and continues to compete at a high level nationally and in the Southeastern Conference.
