Mississippi State Begins NCAA Winston-Salem Regional Play
The Mississippi State men’s golf team is set to compete in the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional at Bermuda Run Country Club in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Monday. The Bulldogs are the No. 7 seed in the regional, which features four teams ranked in the SCOREBOARD Top 25, according to school officials.
This marks the eighth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance for Mississippi State, extending a program record. The team will start play off the first hole at 7:25 a.m. CT, with live scoring available on SCOREBOARD.
The Bulldogs’ lineup includes seniors, juniors, and freshmen. Garrett Endicott, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, is the team’s No. 1 player. He finished 35th at the SEC Championship last month and boasts four top-10 finishes this season, along with a 70.86 scoring average.
Graduate Dain Richie from New Berlin, Illinois, has been outstanding in recent events, earning back-to-back top-10 finishes and his first collegiate victory at the Mossy Oak Collegiate. Freshman Jackson Skinner from Birmingham, Alabama, is making his 11th start of the season and has shown consistent play in recent tournaments.
Senior Ugo Malcor, from La Baule, France, has three top-20 finishes in his last three starts, including a 17th-place showing at the SEC Championship. Freshman Jackson Cook from West Point, Mississippi, will make his fourth straight start, highlighted by a 70 in the SEC Championship’s second round.
