Garrett Endicott Set for PGA Tour Debut at Mexico Open

Former Mississippi State golfer Garrett Endicott is scheduled to make his PGA Tour debut at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open in Nueva Nayarit, Mexico, after earning a spot in the 120-player field through a Monday qualifier.

Endicott shot 4 under over 18 holes and secured his place by winning a four-man playoff, according to the tournament announcement. The schedule lists his first-round tee time as 2:24 p.m. CT Thursday and his second-round time as 9:44 a.m. CT Friday.

“It’s a lifelong dream for me to compete in a PGA Tour event,” Endicott said. He described the opportunity as a step toward playing on the tour full time.

Endicott led Mississippi State during the 2025-26 season with a 70.63 scoring average, the second-best in program history. He had 25 par-or-better rounds, tying the school single-season record, and recorded three top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes.

His season included a third-place finish at the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional. His 14-under 199 helped Mississippi State advance to the NCAA Championship and set the program record for the lowest individual score at an NCAA regional.

The two-time All-American completed his four-year college career with program records for career scoring average, at 71.30, and rounds of par or better, at 83. He is tied for the school record with 42 career rounds in the 60s.

Mississippi State coach Dusty Smith praised Endicott’s work and resilience, saying he would be his biggest fan during the tournament.

Endicott also earned PGA Tour Americas status after ranking among the top 25 in PGA Tour University last season. He has made three cuts in seven appearances on that circuit, with two top-10 finishes. At his most recent start, the ATB Classic, he tied for seventh at 14 under 266.

Fellow Mississippi State alumnus Chad Ramey is also in the Mexico Open field. Ramey won the 2022 Corales Puntacana Championship for his first PGA Tour victory, finishing at 17 under. His listed tee times are 9:11 a.m. CT Thursday and 1:51 p.m. CT Friday. Golf Channel coverage is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. CT Sunday.
