Endicott, Ramey Tie for 40th at Mexico Open
Garrett Endicott made the cut in his PGA Tour debut and tied for 40th at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open, finishing at 10-under 274. Former Mississippi State golfer Chad Ramey also closed at 10 under to share 40th place.
Endicott opened with an even-par round before a bogey-free 67 helped him get above the cut line and into the top 60. He followed with a 5-under 66 on Saturday, then shot a 1-under 70 in the final round.
Endicott made 24 of 26 fairways through two rounds, tying for the best driving accuracy in the field at that point. In his second round, he recorded four birdies and saved par on all seven holes where he needed to scramble.
Ramey made the cut at 5 under, then carded rounds of 2 under and 3 under to finish alongside Endicott. The two golfers each earned $23,100. Ramey was scheduled to compete the following week at the World Wide Technology Championship.
