Mississippi State Alumna Jessie Blaine Signs with Knoxville Miracle of Professional Softball League
STARKVILLE — Jessie Blaine, a former Mississippi State softball player, has signed with the Knoxville Miracle of the Professional Softball League, the league’s first season. Blaine is the 11th Bulldog to play professionally in the Samantha Ricketts era, increasing the program’s total to 30 alumni in pro softball.
Blaine played for Mississippi State during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In her senior year, she earned NFCA Second Team All-South Region honors, starting 55 games as a catcher and designated player. She led the team with 37 walks, ranked second with a .468 on-base percentage, and was third with a .336 batting average.
The Pike Road, Alabama native also completed her final season with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, recording 198 put-outs and 22 assists. Blaine expressed enthusiasm about her new opportunity, saying she is excited to join a list of alumni dedicated to growing professional softball and aims to build a full-time career in the sport.
Blaine’s achievements extend beyond her playing career. She was a three-time SEC Honor Roll recipient, a three-time NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete, and received College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in her junior and senior years. She will also serve in the team’s communications department as part of her role with the Miracle.
The Professional Softball League is in its inaugural season and plans to expand with more teams in summer 2027, including Blaine’s Knoxville Miracle. Fans can follow Mississippi State softball on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram by searching “HailStateSB.”
