Mississippi College Men’s Golf Places Fourth at GSC Championship

Dickson, Tenn. — Mississippi College’s men’s golf team finished fourth at the Gulf South Conference Championship with a team score of 868, marking their best result since 2017, according to school officials.

Joao Iglesias led the team with a tied-for-second finish individually, shooting a 9-under-par 207. Iglesias started with a 66, which tied for the lowest round in tournament history, then followed with a 69 in the second round and a 72 in the final round.

Senior Zach Robertson finished in 31st place with a total score of 227. He opened with a 77, improved to a 73 in the second round, but shot a 77 in the final round. Jack Mckie, a junior, tied for 25th with a total of 224. His rounds included a 73, 76, and 75.

Freshman Ben Eichelberger posted a score of 226, finishing 30th. His best round came in the final, a 72. Junior Todd Mckie finished 13th with a 216, despite a final-round 76. The team’s best finish was second in 1994.
