Millsaps College announced that 83 student-athletes made the 2026 Southern Athletic Association Spring Academic Honor Roll, according to SAA Commissioner Stacey LaDew. The recognition covers athletes from 10 winter and spring sports.
The record number of honorees reflects the college’s commitment to academic excellence. Baseball led with 26 student-athletes honored, followed by softball with 13. Women’s track & field had 11, and women’s basketball had 10.
Other sports with honorees include men’s basketball and men’s golf, each with six student-athletes, and men’s track and men’s tennis, each with five or three representatives. The women’s tennis team had two honorees, and the women’s golf team had one.
To qualify for the honor roll, student-athletes must have posted a GPA of 3.25 or higher during the spring semester and be members of a conference-sponsored varsity sport. Each institution submits qualified athletes to the SAA.
Millsaps, founded in 1890 in Jackson, Mississippi, emphasizes academic achievement, open inquiry, and faith-based exploration. The college has received recognition from several education and ranking organizations, including U.S. News & World Report and Forbes.
