Millsaps College Recognizes 103 Student-Athletes on Academic Lists

Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, announced that 103 student-athletes made either the President’s List or Dean’s List after the 2026 spring semester, according to college officials.

Students on the President’s List achieved a GPA of 3.85 or higher, while those on the Dean’s List maintained at least a 3.5 GPA. All students had completed a minimum of 12 semester hours, received grades of C or higher, and upheld standards of good citizenship, the college said.

The recognition underscores the challenge student-athletes face in balancing academics and athletics. College officials noted that these students dedicate significant time to both pursuits, excelling academically while participating in sports.

Among the 200 students honored, 103 were athletes. Ten competed in multiple sports during both fall and spring semesters. The men’s soccer team led with 11 students on the President’s List, followed by women’s soccer with eight, baseball and volleyball with seven each. On the Dean’s List, volleyball led with 11 athletes, and football followed with nine.

Overall, combining both lists, volleyball athletes totaled 18 honorees, men’s soccer 17, and women’s soccer and baseball each had 13. The college highlighted the achievements of these student-athletes across various sports and academic disciplines.
