Millsaps College Honors 28 Student-Athletes for Academic Excellence
Jackson, Mississippi — Millsaps College celebrated academic success among its athletes at its eighth annual Club 40 event. A total of 28 student-athletes received recognition for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester, according to the college’s Department of Athletics.
The luncheon on Tuesday highlighted the dedication of these students, who excel both on the field and in the classroom. Seventeen student-athletes earned their first Club 40 honor, while others received multiple recognitions. Ethan Pratt, a men’s soccer junior, led with five appearances, and Elyse Warren, a women’s basketball senior, was recognized four times.
Women’s soccer led all sports with seven honorees, followed by men’s soccer and baseball, each with four. Overall, 14 of the college’s 18 varsity programs had at least one athlete recognized. Additionally, two students participated in both fall and winter sports.
Recognition levels varied: first-time winners received a Club 40 T-shirt, two-time winners received a pullover, three-time winners earned a tumbler, and four-time winners received a backpack. Ethan Pratt was the only student-athlete to earn the honor five times, receiving a blanket.
