Millsaps Athletes Inducted into Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society

CANTON, Ga. — Southern Athletic Association Commissioner Stacey LaDew announced Wednesday that two Millsaps College student-athletes have been inducted into the Sigma Alpha Alpha Honor Society for the 2025-26 academic year.

Senior volleyball player Ally Baer and senior women’s basketball player Elyse Warren earned the honor after excelling both on the court and in the classroom. To qualify, students must be graduating seniors with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, have been named to an All-SAA First or Second Team at least once, and competed during their senior season.

Baer, a biology major, posted a GPA of 3.63 and received honorable mention in 2024. Warren, an applied mathematics major with a 3.91 GPA, was named to the All-SAA First Team this season and previously made the All-SAA Second Team in 2024-25 and 2023-24, as well as honorable mention in 2022-23.

Founded in 1890 in Jackson, Mississippi, Millsaps College is a nationally recognized liberal arts institution. It emphasizes academic excellence, open inquiry, and faith-based exploration. The college has been praised by several national organizations for its value and educational quality.
