Hinds Track & Field Excels at Crimson Tide Invitational
The Hinds Community College track and field team delivered a strong showing at the Crimson Tide Invitational over the weekend, continuing its momentum with multiple top finishes across various events.
On the men’s side, Raheem Pinnock led the way with a victory in the 100 meters, finishing in 10.30 seconds. Curtis Coleman III finished second in the 200 meters with a time of 20.59 seconds, while Pinnock placed fourth in 20.61 seconds. Deshaun Gordon finished third in the 400 meters in 46.55 seconds. In the hurdles, Matthew Sullivan was runner-up in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.02 seconds, and Shadane Smith took third in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.38 seconds.
For the women’s team, Queen Usunobun finished fourth in the 400 meters in 53.44 seconds. Angel Cumberbatch and Madison Rhodes also posted solid performances in the same event. Mikenzey Hodges-Woods led the women’s hurdles efforts, placing fifth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:00.96 and also competed in the 100-meter hurdles. The women’s 4×400-meter relay team finished second with a time of 3:39.58, highlighting the team’s depth and competitiveness.
