Delta State’s Byrd Named D2CCA First Team All-American

MARSHALL, Minn. — Delta State University baseball pitcher Adrian Byrd has earned first-team All-American honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association. The senior left-hander is the first in program history to receive this recognition and the 13th Delta State player to earn D2CCA All-American honors.

Byrd, who was also named South Region Pitcher of the Year by the NCBWA and D2CCA, finished the season with an 8-2 record and posted a 1.52 ERA, one of the lowest in the nation. He struck out 113 batters, ranking in the top five in Delta State history for a single season. Opponents hit just .199 against him this year.

This achievement highlights Byrd’s standout season and his significant contribution to the team’s success. His historic selection underscores his status as one of the top pitchers in Division II baseball this year.
