Belhaven Sets Record with 137 Academic All-Conference Selections

ATLANTA — Belhaven University led the Collegiate Conference of the South with 137 student-athletes earning Academic All-Conference honors for the 2025-26 academic year, the conference announced Monday. This is the most selections for Belhaven since the award’s inception in 2022-23 and the highest among all conference schools.

The university’s honorees have increased each year, from 84 in 2022-23 to 106 in 2023-24, then 132 in 2024-25, and now 137 this year, according to the CCS. To qualify, student-athletes needed at least a 3.30 GPA during the year. Additionally, 27 students earned a spot on the President’s Honor Roll by maintaining at least a 3.90 GPA each semester.

CCS Commissioner Beth Vansant praised the honorees, saying, “Academic All-Conference recognition is a meaningful reflection of the balance and commitment required to succeed as a Division III student-athlete. These honorees have distinguished themselves through their work in the classroom and their contributions in competition, and their example speaks to the standard of excellence across our conference.”

The 2025-26 awards marked the fourth year the CCS recognized academic achievement among its 14 championship sports. Belhaven’s honorees span sports including baseball, golf, basketball, cross country, soccer, tennis, softball, volleyball, and women’s basketball and cross country.

Among the selections, 27 student-athletes achieved President’s Honor Roll status, highlighted in bold in the full list provided by the conference. The honorees come from a variety of teams, with men’s soccer leading at 20 selections and women’s soccer at 25. The full list of honorees is available through the CCS release.
