Columbus, Miss. — The W Athletics announced its 2026 Spring Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, recognizing 119 student-athletes for academic excellence. To qualify, athletes needed at least a 3.00 GPA during the recent term, according to department officials.

Buddy Foster, the university’s director of athletics, congratulated those honored. “It truly says a lot about the type of student-athletes we have here at The W; getting it done in the classroom and in competition,” Foster said.

Seventy-one percent of the department’s student-athletes made the honor roll, with 89 GPAs of 3.50 or higher. Of those, 35 achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA. The department’s overall GPA for spring was 3.16, with nine of 15 programs posting GPAs of 3.00 or better.

Women’s golf led all teams with a 3.88 GPA, while men’s soccer topped male sports with a 3.55 GPA.
