Ole Miss Soccer Suffered 3-0 Loss at Auburn

Ole Miss soccer fell to Auburn 3-0 Friday night at the Auburn Soccer Complex. The Tigers improved to 5-1-3 overall and 1-1-0 in SEC play with the victory.

Gacie Brown opened the scoring for Auburn in the 30th minute, assisted by Kelly Gordon. Less than six minutes later, Grace Ivey scored off a pass from Layla Sirdah to give Auburn a 2-0 halftime lead. Kennedy Husbands added the final goal in the 55th minute, her first of the season.

Ole Miss, now 7-3-0 and 0-2-0 in SEC play, managed only three shots in the game. Alena Watts, Ava Ghoreishi and Teaghan Irvin each took one shot for the Rebels. Watts’ attempt came in the first half, while Ghoreishi and Irvin tried after halftime.

Auburn held a significant edge in shots, 18-3, and in corner kicks, 8-3. Anna Claire Jacobi played all 90 minutes in goal for Ole Miss, making three saves. The Rebels return home Thursday to host Vanderbilt at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
