Five Ole Miss Soccer Players Named to 2026 SEC Preseason Watch List

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference has released its 2026 SEC Soccer Preseason Watch List, featuring five players from the University of Mississippi. The players named include Paxton Bock, Ava Ghoreishi, Audrey Shackelford, Jenna Studer, and Alena Watts, according to the conference.

Paxton Bock, a junior transfer from SMU, is in her first season with Ole Miss. She played 32 games and logged 1,048 minutes over two seasons with the Mustangs. Last year, she contributed four assists from the back line, the SEC said.

Ava Ghoreishi, a transfer from Washington State, appeared in 18 matches during her freshman season in 2025. She scored her first collegiate goal against Georgia and recorded her first assist against LMU, according to the SEC.

Audrey Shackelford, also a transfer from Washington State, spent her sophomore year with the Cougars and her freshman year at Arkansas. She scored two goals and dished out four assists last season, earning All-WCC Second Team honors, the SEC noted.

Jenna Studer, a transfer from Washington State, has played 75 matches over six injury-plagued seasons, including four with the Cougars and two with Arizona. Despite injuries, she played 19 matches in 2024, scoring two goals and adding one assist, the SEC said.

Alena Watts, another transfer from Washington State, appeared in 46 matches across three seasons. In 2025, she played all 19 matches for the Cougars, totaling 1,678 minutes on the field, according to the SEC.

The Ole Miss soccer team is preparing for its upcoming season, with the Rebels scheduled to play multiple matches at home and on the road through October. Fans are encouraged to follow the team on social media for updates and information.
