Ole Miss Women’s Golf Shares Lead After Day One at NCAA Regional

The University of Mississippi women’s golf team is tied for the lead after opening play at the NCAA Louisville Regional in Simpsonville, Kentucky. The Rebels posted a team score of 282, finishing six under par at the University of Louisville Golf Club on Monday.

Kajsalotta Svarvar led Ole Miss with a 67, five under par, and is tied for the overall individual lead after recording eight birdies. Mary Miller also impressed with a 69, three under par, ending her day with four birdies on her last seven holes. Sophie Linder finished even par, while Matilda Björkman shot two over.

The Rebels are tied with Houston for the team lead. Arkansas and Xavier are tied for third place, two strokes back. Ole Miss will begin the second day of the regional at 7 a.m. Central Time. The top teams from the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships.
