HW Byers advances to state championship game with win over McAdams
HW Byers started strong and never looked back, punching their ticket to the 1A state championship game with a 62-45 win over McAdams.
The Lions led 19-5 after the first quarter and never trailed in the contest.
Byers shot 55% from the field as a team and held the McAdams to just 36% shooting in the contest.
Devin Moore turned in an all around brilliant game for the Lions, notching 10 points on 4/6 shooting to go along with 14 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 blocked shots.
The quickness of guard Michael James was on full display as he led the Lions in points with 16, several of which came on hard drives to the basket. He also connected on a oar of three point attempts.
Vincent Talley Jr. added 10 points for Byers,
Kendarrius McBeath ked Mcadams with 13 points.
The Lions of Byers are set to take on the Lions of Biggersville for a state title on Thursday after Biggersville defeated Bay Springs on Monday
