Trip Maxwell is a 2023 QB out of Oxford, MS who truly holds his own in the pocket. He can really sit back there and read a defense. He is definitely a D1 caliber player. He is 6’2″ 195lbs.

Trip is a true competitor who puts a lot of zip on the football. He does real well in the RPO offense and gets the ball out quickly. He has a very nice release and you can tell he has been working on his game for a long time

Trip has a film full of pocket passes. This is a guy who can flourish behind an offensive line that will give him time to throw the ball. He has all the right tools. He is patient, reads the whole field and look defenders off. At his size I can see him being 205lbs by the time August comes around. He stands tall in the pocket and makes sure he protects the ball.

“I have been talking to schools from all over,” said Trip. “I’ve been invited to a lot of camps. Most of them want to see me throw in person.”

Trip trains with QB Country out of Memphis. They do a great job of molding QBs into young leaders on the field. I see that in Trip. Trip isn’t just a game manager. He can control the ship like a true captain.

“I have been gaining size, strength and speed. I also have been working on my drops too. Just lots of small things cleaning up my mechanics,” said Trip.
