Mississippi Christian Tennis Wins Titles at Glen Arven Invitational

THOMASVILLE, Ga. — Mississippi Christian University’s men’s and women’s tennis teams won titles at the Glen Arven Invitational, a fall tournament held over the weekend. The event featured teams from West Alabama, Valdosta State, West Florida, Lee, and NCAA Division I Florida State.

The Choctaws’ men’s team secured its first-ever victory at the event, winning all of its finished matches. They swept opponents including West Alabama, Valdosta State, West Florida, and Florida State. Notably, victories over West Florida and Florida State marked wins over Division I programs for Mississippi Christian.

The men’s team also performed well against Lee University, leading 1-0 before play was halted by lightning. They were on match point in one match and led another when the match was stopped. The weekend continues a strong fall for the program, which finished the 2026 spring season with a 16-8 record and reached the Gulf South Conference Championship semifinals.

The women’s team also claimed the tournament title, further highlighting Mississippi Christian’s successful fall season as they prepare for the spring championship.
