Mississippi Christian Athletics Hosts Home Soccer, Starts Conference Play in Volleyball
Mississippi Christian University kicks off a busy week of competition across several sports, with teams competing in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee, according to school officials.
The men’s soccer team hosts Blue Mountain Christian University in an exhibition Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at the campus. The match features junior varsity squads and aims to help the team develop its roster as the fall season continues.
On Wednesday, the women’s soccer team returns home to host Valdosta State at 1 p.m. at Robert P. Longabaugh Field. The game will be streamed live on FloCollege, with live statistics available through the Mississippi Christian Athletics website. The team looks to extend its strong start to the season.
Mississippi Christian volleyball begins Gulf South Conference play Friday with a road match against West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama. The match kicks off at 6 p.m. The team enters conference play after sweeping Augusta 3-0 over the weekend.
Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams will travel Saturday to Nashville, Tennessee, for matches against Trevecca Nazarene. The women’s game begins at 1 p.m., followed by the men’s at 3:30 p.m. Both contests will be streamed live on FloCollege.
In fall competition, the men’s golf team continues its schedule at the Savannah Lakes Invitational in McCormick, South Carolina. Meanwhile, the men’s and women’s tennis teams compete at the Glen Arven Tournament in Thomasville, Georgia. These events provide valuable experience ahead of upcoming championship seasons.
Mississippi Christian officials noted that the week’s events showcase the university’s ongoing efforts to provide competitive opportunities across its athletic programs during the fall semester.
