Mississippi State Offensive Lineman Suspended

Junior offensive lineman Michael Story, Ripley native, was suspended indefinitely Wednesday morning. Story was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of animal cruelty last week, according to Brett Hudson of The Dispatch.

In the report that The Dispatch received, Story is accused of locking Kodak the Great Dane in a bedroom of his apartment for a week and not feeding him for 3 days. Story had been practicing as second string offensive guard this offseason, with his last start coming during his redshirt freshman season.

While the university has confirmed the suspension, head coach Joe Moorhead isn’t expected to address the situation and the media until Wednesday evening.
