SWAC Announces Men’s and Women’s Basketball Media Days for October 6-7

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will host its annual men’s and women’s basketball media days on Tuesday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 7, at 10 a.m. CST each day. The event takes place at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama.

All SWAC head coaches and two student-athletes from each team are expected to attend to discuss the upcoming 2026-27 seasons. The league will also announce its predicted order of finish for both men’s and women’s basketball during the events.

Media interviews with coaches and players will start at 10 a.m. CST and will be streamed live on SWAC TV. The media days serve as a key preview for the upcoming basketball season in the conference.

The SWAC is recognized as one of the top HBCU conferences nationally, with numerous alumni competing professionally. The league offers a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, indoor and outdoor track and field, tennis, softball, soccer, volleyball, and bowling.
