SWAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Media Days Set for October 6-7

The Southwestern Athletic Conference will host its annual men’s and women’s basketball media days on Oct. 6 and 7 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama.

Both events will begin at 10 a.m. Central Time and will be streamed live on SWAC TV. All SWAC head coaches and two student-athletes from each team are expected to attend. They will address the media regarding the upcoming 2026-27 basketball seasons.

The league will also announce its predicted order of finish for the 2026-27 seasons during the events. Media members will have the opportunity for one-on-one interviews with coaches and players starting at 10 a.m. CST each day.

These media days serve as the official kickoff for the upcoming basketball campaigns and provide insight into team expectations and preseason predictions.
