Southern Miss Volleyball Prepares for Exhibition Match Against Nicholls
The University of Southern Mississippi volleyball team is set to face Nicholls in an exhibition match on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wellness Center in Hattiesburg. This will be the Golden Eagles’ third and final preseason contest, following a scrimmage on Aug. 8 and an exhibition at Mississippi State on Aug. 15, according to university officials.
Fans are invited to attend Fan Fest, which begins at 10:30 a.m. at Carlise-Faulker Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium. The event will feature giveaways including Black Eagle Head koozies, signed rubber volleyballs, schedule cards, and posters, while supplies last. Admission to the match is free, and all home games will have a promotional theme this season, encouraging fans to wear specific colors. Saturday’s theme is “Back in Black,” with fans asked to help paint the Wellness Center black.
Season tickets for all Golden Eagle volleyball home matches will be available for $65 at the Wellness Center lobby. Nicholls, which posted a 13-16 record in 2025 and finished 10th in the Southland Conference, did not qualify for the conference tournament, according to school records.
