Sedgwrick Pitts Jr. Finishes Season at NCAA East First Round

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Sedgwrick Pitts Jr. wrapped up his season Thursday night at the NCAA Division I East First Round, finishing 36th in the 200-meter dash. Pitts, the only Jackson State athlete competing at the NCAA Regionals, competed in the fifth heat at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Facility.

The Tyler, Texas, native qualified for the event with a time of 20.63 seconds at the Georgia Tech Invitational in April. In Thursday’s race, Pitts finished sixth in his heat with a time of 20.97 seconds, ending his 2026 track and field season.
