Ole Miss Women’s Golf Prepares for SEC Championship in Florida

The Ole Miss women’s golf team is set to compete in the SEC Championship at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, from April 17-21. This marks the third consecutive year the tournament will be held at this venue, with all 16 SEC teams participating in three rounds of stroke play to determine the conference champion and seedings for match play.

The tournament schedule includes three days of stroke play on April 17-19, followed by match play quarterfinals and semifinals on April 20, and the championship match on April 21. The semifinals will be streamed on SEC Network+, with the finals televised live on SEC Network at 9 a.m. CT.

Ole Miss is led by a strong lineup featuring Kajsalotta Svarvar, who has a season scoring average of 71.70 and a career-low 54-hole score of 203 (-10). She has recorded three top-five finishes this season. Sophomore Mary Miller has six top-20 finishes with a 72.26 scoring average. Other key players include Filippa Sundquist, Sophie Linder, and newcomer Matilda Björkman, who has made an immediate impact after debuting with a third-place finish at the Boilermaker Classic.

The Rebels aim to continue their postseason streak, seeking their eighth straight NCAA regional appearance and seventh NCAA Championship trip. Ole Miss has posted six top-five finishes this season and secured two team titles, including back-to-back wins at the Cougar Classic in September.

Ole Miss is one of 16 teams in the field, including highly ranked programs such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, and Texas. The team is coached by Kory Henkes, who has led the Rebels to consistent success in recent years, with a roster mostly returning from the previous season.
