Ole Miss Men’s Golf to Compete in SEC Championship at Sea Island
The No. 12 Ole Miss men’s golf team is set to compete in the SEC Championship at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia, from April 22-26. The tournament marks the 25th year of the event being hosted at Sea Island.
Sixteen Southeastern Conference teams will participate in three rounds of stroke play to determine the individual champion and tournament seeding. The top eight teams will advance to a match play bracket on Saturday and Sunday to crown the team champion.
The tournament schedule includes 18-hole stroke play rounds on April 22-24, followed by quarterfinals and semifinals on Saturday, which will be broadcast on SEC Network+. The championship match on Sunday will be televised live on SEC Network at 7 a.m. CT.
Ole Miss will rely on senior Tom Fischer, ranked 13th in the PGA TOUR U Rankings, who leads the team with a 69.96 scoring average and has posted six consecutive rounds under par. Fellow seniors Cameron Tankersley and Cohen Trolio, along with freshman Daniel Tolf, are also key contributors. Tolf recently earned his first collegiate victory at the Watersound Invitational.
The Rebels are seeking their ninth consecutive postseason appearance. They finished the regular season with a team win at the Mossy Oak Collegiate and have tallied eight top-five finishes this year. Last season, Ole Miss finished as NCAA semifinalists, marking one of the most decorated seasons in program history.
