Ole Miss Volleyball to Host Clemson in ‘Showdown at the Net’ Challenge

OXFORD, Miss. — The University of Mississippi volleyball program will participate in the ‘Showdown at the Net’ for the second straight year, hosting Clemson on September 8 at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center, according to the school’s announcement.

The event is part of the ACC/SEC Challenge series, which features all 16 SEC volleyball teams competing against programs from the Atlantic Coast Conference over two days. The 2026 edition will mark the first time Ole Miss faces Clemson since 2009, with the all-time series tied at 2-2.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey highlighted the event’s significance, saying it showcases top student-athletes and expands college volleyball’s reach. He credited Shriners Children’s and ESPN for supporting the competition, which aims to boost visibility and foster growth in the sport.

The full schedule for the 2026 challenge will be released at a later date. Fans are encouraged to support Ole Miss volleyball through the ACE Club, which funds the program’s competitive efforts.
