Ole Miss Volleyball to Face Clemson in ‘Showdown at the Net’
The University of Mississippi volleyball team is set to host Clemson on Tuesday night at 6 p.m. CT at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center. The match is part of the annual ‘Showdown at the Net,’ where SEC teams face off against ACC opponents across the country.
Ole Miss enters the match with a 5-2 record, while Clemson is 5-1 after winning four straight matches. The Rebels are coming off a strong weekend, including a 3-1 win over Southern Miss and a 3-0 sweep of Central Arkansas. The Tigers recently swept the Clemson Invitational and are looking to continue their winning streak.
Ole Miss libero Cameron Bradley leads the NCAA in total digs with 155 and has recorded no fewer than 15 digs in each of her first seven matches this season. The Rebels hit a season-high .376 in their victory over Central Arkansas, the best team hitting percentage since September 2025. They also committed just seven attacking errors, their fewest since 2021.
The all-time series between Ole Miss and Clemson is tied at 2-2, with the last meeting occurring in 2009 at a neutral site. Ole Miss aims to improve its record against the Tigers and build on recent successes.
Ole Miss recently swept the Rebel Volleyball Classic, with standout performances from Melia Johnson and Jorda Crook. Johnson recorded her first collegiate double-double, while Crook made her mark with a 23-kill performance. Bradley’s defense has been instrumental, earning SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 78 digs over three matches.
The Rebels will also look to continue their strong serving, led by Shayla Meyer, who is nearing 100 career service aces. Clemson’s defense is anchored by libero Claire Luoma, who leads the ACC with 111 digs, though the team’s serving remains a weaker aspect early in the season.
