Ole Miss Track & Field Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

The University of Mississippi’s men’s and women’s track and field teams have been recognized with all-academic honors by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2026 season, the organization announced Monday.

To qualify, teams must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher, while individual student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.25 GPA and be ranked among the top 96 nationally in their event or have participated in NCAA Regionals or Championships. A total of 26 Ole Miss athletes earned the award, including 17 women and nine men, according to the USTFCCCA.

The women’s honorees include Beth Arentz, Sophie Baumann, Lily Beattie, Natalie Brown, Alicia Burnett, Mary Cate Doughty, Nyah Edwards, Lizzie Hatton, Rachel Homoly, Jo-Lauren Keane, Katie McFarland, Akaoma Odeluga, Temidayo Owoyemi, Skylar Soli, Cassie Williamson, Loral Winn and Naomi Woolfolk. The men recognized are Max Armstrong, Aiden Britt, Mason Hickel, Kyle Johnson, Chase Rose, Gabe Scales, Sterling Scott, Carson Turner and Tarique Wright.

This achievement highlights the academic and athletic excellence of Ole Miss’s track and field program, the USTFCCCA said.

Earlier this season, individual athletes such as Akaoma Odeluga and Alicia Burnett earned additional accolades, with Burnett finishing fourth in the NCAA 100-meter final, according to previous reports.
