Ole Miss Men’s Basketball to Tour Puerto Rico for Exhibition Games

The University of Mississippi men’s basketball program will visit San Juan, Puerto Rico, from Aug. 2 to Aug. 7 for a six-day tour that includes two exhibition contests, according to school officials.

The Rebels will play against Puerto Rican teams on Aug. 4 and Aug. 5 at Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon. These games are intended to give the team live-game experience during the off-season and help evaluate player development, sources said.

The tour is organized by Complete Sports Management, a sports events and marketing agency specializing in global sporting events, sponsorships, and hospitality packages. Former NBA player Carlos Arroyo is coordinating both contests, adding local expertise to the event.

Under NCAA rules, college programs can participate in one preseason international tour each year, which allows teams to conduct additional summer practices and engage in overseas competition. These opportunities are designed to support roster growth and team cohesion ahead of the upcoming season.

In addition to the basketball activities, players will experience Puerto Rico’s culture, fostering team bonding through the unique international travel experience.
