Ole Miss Soccer Defeats UAB 2-0 with Goals from Granno and Skinner

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Ole Miss soccer extended its winning streak to four matches with a 2-0 victory over UAB on Sunday night at PNC Field.

Sarah Granno opened the scoring in the 56th minute, converting a pass from Teaghan Irvin to give the Rebels a 1-0 lead. Becca Skinner added her first goal as a Rebel in the 63rd minute, converting a penalty kick to secure the win.

Ole Miss (4-0-0) dominated the match, outshooting UAB 13-5 and placing five shots on target. The Rebels also earned eight corner kicks to UAB’s one and maintained possession for more than half the game, according to team statistics.

Goalkeeper Taylor Prigge played all 90 minutes, making two saves to record her fourth victory of the season and preserve the shutout. UAB (1-2-1) managed only two shots on goal and was denied by Ole Miss’s defense throughout the match.

The Rebels return home Thursday to face Memphis at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed on SEC Network+.
